I’d like to complain but I’m pretty happy and have several things to look forward to, for example:

• going home in a few weeks
• seeing my best friends
• going to the beach in august
• classes being over at the end of the month
• seeing Elyse’s baby bump and her new house
• being in the company of people who understand me
• seeing my sister and mother
• maybe getting a prize from San Diego
• giving Michael a hug
• sharing good books with people
• having no obligations aside from work
• my birthday
• not worrying about money

and several other things.

I wish I could watch this every day and have it inspire me the same amount.

There are two valuable things I gained from high school aside from friends and creative skills. One was my math teacher paying me to quit a nasty habit. I quit biting my fingernails and he gave me twenty bucks. I still don’t bite. The second was also from a male teacher. In a lecture during English one day he brought to my attention that apathy is worse than hatred and I completely agree. I would much rather someone I care about loathe me than completely disregard me and not care about me anymore. Hatred is still a form of care. There’s one person in particular who has been completely apathetic towards me as of late, and I would rather them hate me than treat me this way without giving me an explanation. Thanks for giving me a few things high school.

Because of the financial situation I am in I had to do something embarrassing today. I felt like I lost a small piece of my dignity. It is silly, but its true. Tonight I am struggling.

It is hard to see fellow students get handed everything and not be bitter about it. I wish the ones that had plenty would share.

I wish it would storm harder right now.

I’m looking forward to being alone for a few days.

I used my new underwater camera last week when I went out of the country and I got five or six images I really love that I’ll be posting gradually and maybe a few that are pretty good.

Today is Father’s Day and also my mother’s birthday. I can’t believe Momma is fifty. Every time I think it or say it it slaps me in the face all over again. It scares me to death.

Settling back into classes and getting excited about going to the Caribbean next week.

This is the summer of Becky’s senior pictures. I’ll probably be shooting them throughout the summer. I’m trying to do some really cool things with double exposures.
